About the temple: Kudreppady Shree Subramanya Swamy temple is a Hindu temple in the village Kudreppady, on the western bank of the river called Kudreppady river, near Seethangoli in the Kasaragod district of Kerala state south India. It’s around 10km (6mile) North from Kasargod, 8km(5mile) East from Kumbla about 58km(36mile) South East from Manglore.The holy temple present near Kudreppady river with beautiful greenery and flowing water sound with calm and pollution free area, where devotees can pray to god with full minded and get blessing of Lord Shree Subramanya. While entering the temple devotees able to see Garbhagudi(sanctum sanctorum),Mukhamantapa,Nalkambala and other gods gudis on left side of Garbhagudi.Temple also consist of Naga bana,Vasantha katte etc., Lord Subramanya idol is exquisitely beautiful in sowmya swarupam.Left hand of the idol has all the five fingers clubbed up which is a symbol of power. Right hand kept on belly side, Idol is standing on the jaladhara somapetam, which is made by beautiful Stone carving.
The devotees enter the courtyard from the way at the back and walk around to go before the diety. During the rainy season the river floods up and makes the temple surroundings with flood water.
Important pooja activities are rangapooja,lakshadeepa(lighting 1lack lamps),karthika pooja,Jade motte seva.
Karthika padya to lakshadeepa special karthika poojas will be done by the priests.On shasthi, shasthi mahothsva celeberated.Skanda shasti and kirushasthi two days here celebrated with Balivadu koota. Ranga pooje, karthika pooje, ashlesha bali or pooje,thulabhara seve are some of the major sevas done by the devotees.
Devotees find satisfying result for santhana prapthi, skin diseases. The holy rice prasadam of this temple is believed to be controlling any type of skin diseases.
Lord Subramanya blesses the devotes with Neneshthara(wet shasthara) and gudishathara. This temple grabs the impoprtance as it houses three equally powerful gods in the main frame. Still the preference goes to lord Subramanya.
The situation is fairly different from all other temples around as the method of worship involves giving equal importance to all the three gods in the main frame.
To show the presence of Lord Shree Subramanya swamy Peacocks are freely walking in the surrounding forest area and shows his beauty to devotees.
